Menu navigation is easy as all items are displayed in cascading menus, with a maximum depth of two levels. This means it is easy to find what you are looking for and you no longer get lost within the depths of endless menus! If you wish to share the page you are looking at, you can easily share the URL and your colleague will see exactly what you are seeing.
DairyWindow has been specifically designed to be easy to use. It does not feature a boring grey interface, like so many professional applications. Instead, DairyWindow sports a neat, fun interface that gives the impression of ease of use. DairyWindow has been industry tested since 2010, incorporating not only the needs of coporate managers, but also the people working on the 'coal face', the plant operators themselves. DairyWindow appeals to a wide audience.
Every page within DairyWindow has a 'help' button on the top right hand side. This help button is customised for each page that the user is on. There is no generic help nor a need for a search function. The help button is just what it says it is!
DairyWindow has full support for multiple products or specs. This not only includes a range of SMP, BMP and WMP, but is capable of having products like cheese, yogurt, and protein products. You can also have pathogen swabs, air quality, waste water, coal. DairyWindow can support any product that you can think of!
Unlike most applications that do not support sample locations, with DairyWindow you have the ability to not only have multiple products, but also multiple sampling areas. An example of this would be taking in-process samples for micro testing. Sample points in a WMP factory would typically include raw milk silos, concentrate from the evaporator, and so on. But does your plant only have one of these? DairyWindow can handle this seemingly complicated sample matrix with ease!
You can specify different cyphers, products, locations, lab tests for data analysis to show exactly how the plant is performing.
Every morning at about 6:00am, DairyWindow will email a detailed report outlining any out of spec results to whoever wants it. The user simply edits their profile and ticks the appropriate box
Certificates of Analysis and Product Grading Reports can also be generated. It is also possible to only be able to generate a report once all results have been accounted for. This is to stop incomplete reports being generated. You can also turn off this feature for interim grading reports for hot shipping.
DairyWindow interfaces seamlessly with both internal and external laboratories. It features Submission Forms for laboratory pre-registration. Once lab results are available, they can be imported from email via CSV file. DairyWindow is flexible so it can interface with Fonterra® LabPro/eQual™, NZ Labs®, AsureQuality® VirtualLab™, and any other laboratory reporting system. Results can also be exported out of DairyWindow into other applications e.g. Microsoft Excel
DairyWindow has the ability to compare two separate result sets against each other. This makes it easy for Inter-laboratory Comparison Programmes (ILCP) and Independent Verification Programmes (IVP). This feature is also used for equipment calibrations, for example comparing in-process NIR results against lab reference results
DairyWindow sports a unique data logging feature which allows operators and plant managers alike to monitor various aspects within the plant, such as incoming milk volumes
You can easily monitor silo levels and ages. Each silo has it's own level indicator for quick and easy assessment of tank levels
Downtime information is listed in a clear, easy to read format. It is separated into each different reason. When graphing production volumes, downtime is automatically taken into account.
With DairyWindow being your central source of information, everybody in your business is kept aware of any issues that result in downtime or product damages. This can help in reducing the amount of stockfood and reblending that takes place.
As well as final product result trending, DairyWindow allows for easy retrieval of in-process results. This means it is possible to grade faster using in-process results rather that final product results. DairyWindow provides various functions for displaying data, whether it be in a graph format, exporting to Excel or simply showing a summary of important tests.
DairyWindow can keep track of consumable usage such as CIP chemicals (caustic and acid). It also has the ability to track process water usage, chlorine levels, turbidity, steam usage, electricity usage, plant emissions, DAF usage, aerated pond and dissolved oxygen. There are many different factors that you can monitor.
DairyWindow uses the latest technologies, employing MySQL as it's data hosting provider. This means you can create custom data queries and realise the full potential of DairyWindows data storage and retrieval capabilities.
With DairyWindow utilising such a great database storage service, this makes it easy for you to track product right from when it enters the factory right up until it leaves, including all points in between:
